A glimpse into stories by kam
I just want to start off by saying how incredibly thankful I am that you are here! Not only are you interested in my services, but also how I function behind the scenes. Stories by Kam has always been in my blood. I knew that I would always have some artistic hobby for my entire life, but I really started diving into creativity in 2020, when it became the creative outlet that I used in expression to share digitally with the world.
I have decided in July of 2025 to rebrand from "Kami M Photo". I have adjusted the sessions I offer to accommodate a wider array of your needs. Gathering positive and negative aspects of running a business throughout the past years has given me great knowledge of how to cater to the true needs of those who seek me out to capture their most precious moments. I want to build my brand off of intentionality and quality, which is why I have decided to go with the name of Stories by Kam, which stands for "stories told by Kami, written by YOU". I pray that my work reaches you in ways you have never thought possible.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography has given me much progress over the years, allowing for my creativity to spark joy in the eyes of my clientele + peers. Growing up in the early 2000's, I was given plenty of opportunities to capture my own visions of family vacations, sports games and community events through a disposable camera. Even though I was roughly 10, and probably not any good, I still wanted to have a hold of a camera to photograph what was happening.
As mentioned above, I started to get into the more "professional" aspect of photography in the 2019 year. During this time, I had the opportunity to photograph various events such as our school's carnival, the Tim Tebow sponsored "Night to Shine" prom and a friend's 10-year vow renewal. These events led me to grow more confidently in working directly with people and being able to see the positive reactions when they get to see the joy they felt in that frozen moment.
VIDEOGRAPHY
Film and motion-picture captures have recently been allowing me to take a new approach in providing beautiful content for you guys! Watching film on the big screen is always a captivating experience; the directors and filmmakers know exactly how to move an audience to tears, laughter and joy in viewing their works of art. Being intentional with every clip, every angle, every use of movement can make all the difference between a quality film, or a rushed piece that doesn't feel as intimate. Filming weddings, events and sessions open a reflection of not only what the day looked like overall, but it reveals the emotion that was felt along the way.
I have been serving on my church's media team for years at this point. We get to bless those who serve in different areas of the church who may miss our service as well as those not in attendance due to various reasons. It is truly a blessing being able to reach so many different people through a screen.
Wrapping up my first article is bittersweet, because this business has brought me so many opportunities thus far, I feel like there is just so much to share with you! I cannot wait to continue pursuing my dreams and providing you guys with memorabilia that you will feel the effect of forever. I will strive to continue offering the very best work that I can with all of the knowledge that I continue to fill myself with. I could not do anything without your kindness and support.
